Cage me with your limbs,
Nourish the flames of our desire.
Let me hold you so close—
Feel you—
Melt to mist in our seamless embrace.
Our breaths entwine,
Drenched in the sultry steam,
Until your body nourishes mine,
Subdue my scorching thirst for you—
Insatiable—
And release my spirit,
Like the heat shimmer rising from the sand,
Ascending beyond ethereal heights.
I surrender…
And when we fall back to earth,
Together—whole and bound,
As one.
Indivisible.

Author’s Note:
This piece may look familiar, but like passion itself, poetry evolves. I removed the unrefined version a while ago because it felt unfinished, incomplete. I let it fully breathe, then reshaped it—until it became what it was always meant to be. This is the latest version, more final. Though still… insatiable. 🙂

Thank you for sharing the good information. Good morning or good evening

That is insatiable…

Love, love your poems. First, they quench my thirst for punctuation; second, your passion always attempts to burn down the internet. Superb.

Wow, thank you so much! I’m thrilled that you actually read and appreciate my work—thanks times infinity! 🙂

I understand what you are saying. I know only a couple of people actually read my junk–with you being one of the two or three. What the blog-o-verse seems to be about is a hunt for “likes.” Oh, well. I suppose this is the grim reality of being a scribe in this day and age.

For me, it comes down to writing for myself. Write not because others will “like” it, but because it must be written. We all have our reasons, right? As Anaïs Nin said, “We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.”

What? Write because you like it? LOL. Preach on to the choir, blondie.

Yup! Pouring my drink already, hoping nobody takes my seat in the choir! Who knows, maybe I’ll get a divine drop of inspiration there (only God knows where that’ll lead me!). Meanwhile, cheers to the choir!

You’re either a cleric or a paladin what with all that. 🙂

Oh, and while I’m there, I’ll read this poem out loud! This should shake things up (to show a very blondie part of me ;)).
